COMMITTEES AND MEETINGS
In November 2010 SEEC agreed to establish a smalll number of member task & finish groups to ensure a member-led approach on important topics. There are two groups:
Europe - to look at ways to improve South East local authorities' access to information about European funding.
Data dashboard - to identify key data needed to make the case for investment in the South East and monitor key trends.
The task & finish groups' schedule runs from January to July 2011 with findings and recommendations being reported to SEEC's AGM on 13 July. View papers and terms of reference for each of the groups; final reports and recommendations to SEEC's AGM in July 2011 can be found here.
Localism & decentralisation - this was taken forward as a dedicated workshop on issues in the Localism Bill instead of a task & finish group. Further information and briefing is available here.
