SEEC office holders and Executive Committee for 2010-11 were elected at July's annual meeting. Cllr Paul Carter (Con, Kent CC) was re-elected as Chairman.
Cllr Gordon Keymer (Con, Tandridge DC) was elected Deputy Chairman and Cllr Paul Watkins (Con, Dover) was elected Secretary and Treasurer. Louise Bloom (Lib-Dem, Eastleigh BC) was elected Vice Chairman. A Labour Vice Chairman remains to be confirmed.
Executive Committee members elected are: Paul Carter (Chairman, Kent CC), Andrew Povey (Surrey CC), Ian Hudspeth (Oxfordshire CC), Ken Thornber (Hampshire CC), Mike Appleyard (Bucks CC), Myles Cullen (Chichester BC), Barry Norton (W. Oxfordshire DC), Andrew Bowles (Swale BC), Elizabeth Cartwright (E.Hampshire DC), Lynne Hack (Reigate & Banstead BC), Louise Bloom (Eastleigh BC), Keslie Learney (Winchester City), Tony de Vere (Vale of White Horse BC), Andrew Cumpsty (Reading BC), Mary Ballin (Bracknell Forest), Cec Tallack (Milton Keynes). The two Labour representatives on the Executive are yet to be confirmed.
In addition three spokespeople on key topics were elected. They will also join the Executive Committee: David Robertson (Transport and Infrastructure, Oxfordshire CC), Moira Gibson (Planning, Housing & Sustainability, Surrey Heath BC) and Mike Appleyard (Economy & Skills, Buckinghamshire CC).
