South East Council’s Chair Cllr Nicolas Heslop, Deputy Chair Cllr Paul Bettison OBE, and Vice-Chair Cllr Tony Page have written to Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer KCB KC MP, Leader of the Labour Party and MP for Holborn and St Pancras.
This follows the recent publication of the Party’s Report of the Commission on the UK’s Future – A New Britain: Renewing our Democracy and Rebuilding our Economy.
The letter welcomed the report as the basis for further discussion and debate on fiscal devolution – and shared SEC’s latest South East 1,000 regional polling (Autumn 2022 edition).
South East Councils looks forward to engaging in a constructive dialogue with Sir Keir and the Labour Party’s Shadow Cabinet on these important issues.
