Committees and Meetings

SEEC members hold a number of regular meetings. SEEC holds 2 All-member meetings each year. The SEEC Executive also meets regularly, 3 times a year.

In addition to regular meetings, when necessary SEEC runs time-limited task and finish groups to ensure strong member input into SEEC’s work. There are currently no task and finish groups. Members also periodically hold workshops on important issues.

Previously SEEC members had a role in regional planning, but since abolition of regional planning in 2010 our focus is now entirely on representing the collective interests of local government in the South East and supporting greater devolution of powers to councils.
