South East Councils (SEC) and the South East Strategic Partnership for Migration (SESPM) held a joint Parliamentary Reception yesterday.
The annual event sees Councillors from across the South East of England come together with sector, Government and Parliamentary colleagues.
Stands were manned showcasing SESPM’s Data Dashboard and Sleep Packs from the The Separated Child Foundation, which are distributed to unaccompanied minors and refugee support organisations.
Around 100 people gathered and heard from speakers including:
- Sally-Ann Hart MP (Hastings & Rye), Chair of the South East APPG and Event Host
- Cllr Nick Adams-King, (Test Valley BC, Hampshire CC), Chair of SEC
- Cllr Roger Gough (Kent County Council Leader), Chair of SESPM
