South East Councils (SEC) held a Parliamentary Reception for members and guests in the Palace of Westminster, following its AGM yesterday.
The annual event sees Councillors from across the South East of England come together with sector colleagues, Civil Servant officials, MPs, and Government Ministers.
Around 90 people gathered to hear from speakers, including:
- Sally-Ann Hart MP (Hastings & Rye), Chair of the South East APPG and Event Host
- Cllr James Jamieson OBE, Former Chair of the Local Government Association (LGA)
- Matt Rodda MP (Reading East), Shadow Minister for Pensions
- Huw Merriman MP (Bexhill & Battle), Minister of State (Rail & HS2) – Department for Transport
