South East Councils (SEC) has written to the new Levelling Up Minister Jacob Young MP.
The Minister took up the role following the resignation of Dehenna Davison MP, who also announced that she no longer intends to stand as an MP at the next General Election.
The letter congratulates the new Minister on his appointment.
It highlights that levelling up in the South East is a vital part of levelling up the UK as a whole, and mentions that SEC will be considering appropriate fiscal levers for financial devolution in our proposed South East Finance Commission (SEFC).
The SEFC is expected to report early next year.
