South East Councils (SEC) has written to the new Shadow Rail Minister Stephen Morgan MP.
Mr Morgan took up his role following a promotion by Leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer in the recent Shadow Cabinet reshuffle.
The letter congratulates him on his appointment.
The letter explains that that SEC will be considering appropriate fiscal levers for financial devolution in our proposed South East Finance Commission (SEFC), expected to report early next year.
It also raises the South East APPG‘s second inquiry (final report TBA) entitled: “The South East and ‘Global Britain’: what role for transport infrastructure in underpinning Britain’s plan to trade and grow?”.
SEC looks forward to continue to work with the new Shadow Rail Minister.
