South East Councils (SEC) has written to the new Deputy Leader, Shadow Deputy Prime Minister and Shadow Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
Rt Hon Angela Rayner MP has taken up her role following a promotion by Leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer in his recent reshuffle of his Shadow Cabinet.
The letter congratulates Rayner on her appointment.
It points to the fact that SEC will be considering appropriate fiscal levers for financial devolution in our proposed South East Finance Commission (SEFC).
The SEFC is expected to report early next year.
SEC looks forward to working with the new Shadow Deputy Prime Minister.
